Description
There are no bike racks along this section of Person Street. If no racks are provided, people will park on poles and trees, sometimes damaging them. I was informed that there is an issue in providing bicycle racks along the corridor because NCDOT has been a barrier. Although this may just be a rumor, bicycle racks are still needed in this corridor (now) and should be included in any future plans!

A troll is going around closing issues and claiming to be a city of Raleigh employee, or making editorial comments that are wrong, which is confusing people.
I hope the moderators take care of this soon.

Ignoring all of the posts about the fact that bicyclists don't need a place to park... because I ride up there all the time and I certainly do need a place to park. With all of the new shops, restaurants, and stores opening up in the Franklin Street area, this is a concern. Could these improvements be wrapped into the Blount/Person corridor study?
Did anything ever occur with looking for another source of funding for the racks?
Thanks!

This area's lack of bike parking was listed as an example.

Hey folks, I just opened a new SCF ticket for a bike rack in the Person St. area. Please vote for it!
SCF now has a "needs a bike rack" issue item that you can use to nominate spots for new racks!
