Description
Today I received a letter from the Provincial Goverment that I am not allowed to appeal the City of Prince Albert Work Orders issued under my name. Construction/renovations completed by the previous owner that did not comply with National Building Standard Codes in meeting Building Specifications or in having Permits issued before construction were identified in the Work Orders issued.
The City of Prince Albert in not specifically writing that the work identified which needs to be corrected in a manner that identifies the previous home onwer as being responsible for same negates my Title Insurance.. Ample documentation was submitted to the City of Prince Albert and the Provincial Goverment confirming the previous home owner completed the renovations that abandoned the structural issues in covering up the imploding foundation. I am to be fined starting July 1st, 2012 $5,000.00 a day for not complying with the work orders that have been issued under my name . I am being held accountable for another's deceit. The Autonomy that the Municipal Act allows a City to operate under is being abused by the City of Prince Albert to govern selectively and protect those that belong to the social status quo this municipal goverment operates under.

Did you identify yourself as a private citizen homeowner?

The problem with my situation is that I am exhausted financially by the the professionals who were paid very well who were involved in my case. The professioanls solicited were limited in their contractural obligations due to their involvement with the previous vendor .Defence given to their professioanl associations in I reporting them was that they had to maintain the confidentiality of the knowledge aquired in the contracts fulfilled to the previous vendor. To me this is
similar to a nurse going into a home to do wound care on an individual and not reporting the child abuse that is going on. Long live white collar crime.

You had the chance to get a home inspection, but decided to save a few hundred dollars. Now you have the choice to either fix it up, pay fines or just give it back to the bank.
When making large, important and expensive decisions, make sure you are informed.

I would think you could sue him then to recoup the costs of repair... to file a claim in small claims court shouldn't be too expensive.
They would likely award you for the costs to repair... but any fines for not fixing before July 1st is likely on you.... I would get on getting that fixed first. Or if possible... ask for an extension.

correct. This is the same advice the provincial goverment gave me and this is the same response given by myself in not appealing the time limits. Silence was given as a response for my reasons for not appeasling the time limits. Thanks for attemptong to answer my questions and address the hell whole i have fallen into.

My only way of getting my story out there is by posting my concerns on your on line paper which i am much appreciative of but are you not giving the false impression to readers of your column that the issue has been resolved when in fact it has not.

structural damage identified in these reports was completed. Answer Duping the Banks . Not one but two mortgages were acquired by the previous vendor who owned this home. A home that should have been condemmened. How does one get away with this. Lives off a false equity that does not exist then sells and pockets the money to start elsewhere. Why is the homeowner who was never made aware of any of the reports previously secured by this vendor, bank and by real estate agents left holding the bag. All who knew are flying under the radar in being held accountable for the fraud committed here. The big question here is did this vendor act alone or were many others involved in pulling this fraud off. Others having a keen knowledge of the law.

I have in hand a letter from Prince Albert City Hall that the " enforcement of the work orders issued shall be held in abeyance until a decision of an Appeal Board has been handed down." I would again like to thank the SeeClickFix It Team for posting the issues presented. i also would like to thank all those City Councillors and Watch Dogs who made the present appeal possible. It is reassuring that there are news worthy web sites that do not rely on the possible advertising dollars lost do to printing issues that these advertisers would view as being undeserving of drawing attention to. I am very lucky to call Canada Saskatchewan, Prince Albert my home.
Happy Canada Day!
