Problem still not resolved (June 30, 2011)

This morning (Wednesday July 5) the quick-and-dirty fix applied last week didn't work. Rather than move the plates together, someone shoved a 2x4 piece of wood and piled some cold patch (macadam) into the crack. Well, the macadam has fallen into the hole. So the bike wheel trap is still there.

Instead of moving the steel plates together to seal up the wheel trap, a 2x4 piece of lumber and some cold patch macadam were shoved into the hole. Today Wednesday July 6 the macadam has fallen into the excavation, so the wheel trap has opened up again.

Still not resolved as of rush hour on July 12th.

The steel plates are gone and the utility trench has been paved over. Issue should be closed.
