After reconstructing this intersection in 2018 water now runs over top causing very icy and dangerous conditions during the winter months. I personally slid part way thru this intersection this past winter and I've heard of others who also did. Seems like it needs a drain installed under it to prevent this from happening again this coming winter.

Drainage concern on Van Atta Road at Jolly Road is a temporary issue caused by temporary erosion control materials being full of sediment blocking the drainage culverts in the area. The temporary soil erosion controls are necessary until permanent vegetation is established which, given the late completion of the Jolly Road project last fall, required the erosion controls to be in place over the past winter. ICRD is aware of this situation and the Jolly Road project contractor will remedy it in the near future by cleaning up and stabilizing the ditches and removing the temporary erosion materials.
Please also note Van Atta Road intersects Jolly Road on a slope such that there will still be some amount of precipitation falling directly on the intersection that will flow across the pavement. As such, drivers should always exercise caution approaching the stop in inclement weather conditions.
