Why has all utility relocation work has stopped for MONTHS on this section of Hwy 9? Is the city actively demanding (squeaky wheel) that the company responsible gets back on task?
Discussed with the head of the DOT project for Hwy 9 and he says his department can not press Our city representatives should press and press hard This extended project delay is not acceptable to Alpharetta residences, commercial businesses, nor those using the downtown corridor to get to other counties

You did not read my note. The manager of the DOT said they cannot do any work until the utility company finishes their work. Hence, we need the city to put pressure on utility company to move forward in this section of Alpharetta now!
Please forward this to the mayor and city council so they can apply appropriate pressure.

The city has worked extensively with the teams (DOT/Utility) in planning this project. I know because I attended city held meetings where Kathy and others presented. We, the city, has contacts. The way things work in this world is you call your contacts, ask for updates, request faster response and completion, keep your hand on the Paula’s and continue to push through completion. That is how the city has the power to wake up the DOT and utility groups. Use your contacts to make them feel your frustration in the current work stoppage on this section of road.
Keep the pressure on. Again, the city is our voice and they need to keep the project moving via constant contact and meetings!
