Mô tả
Please remember to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk, they have the right of way. People are walking to the stores, restaurants and library and it's a difficult place to cross the street. People speed through the crosswalk and ignore the walkers waiting to cross. Let's make this a more walking friendly town.

Pedestrian WAITING to cross are waiting and do NOT have the right of way.
I don't know, but I think I remember from drivers test.
I do stop for waiting pedestrians if I'm sure I won't get rear-ended. That would be bad.
Am I wrong?

A pedestrian generally has the right of way over all vehicles while at the curb of or in a crosswalk. This means that cars and other vehicle traffic (buses, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, etc.) must slow down or stop in front of a crosswalk when a pedestrian is using or is about to use a crosswalk. Vehicles must remain stopped until the pedestrian has fully crossed the street or has reached a “zone of safety.”
