We had a Stop Sign on the corner of NW 43 Ave & 1 St. East corner. Is it possible that a Stop Sign be put back. It well be saver for the Crossing Guard and the students crossing that corner. Cars coming South to North has to make a right turn on 43 Ave & 1 St.on school days, and of course drivers doestn't stop and look before doing that turn. Would appreciate very much you looking into this matter. Also school sign down on NW 43 Ave & Flagler for the same school.

At the three way stop (Flagler and South River Drive, traffic is constantly not stopping at the stop sign. I live in the Neo Lofts building and on three occasions have almost been hit pulling out of our driveway on to South River Drive because drivers aren’t stopping. When many consecutive drivers do the same thing you can barely make it out onto the road.

Something needs to be done at this intersection when the bridge goes up. At least three times a week people completely block the intersection when the bridge is up and it shuts down the ability to go through a free and clear intersection. I watch people intentionally move into the middle of the road all the time and simply sit waiting for the bridge to go down. This is despite the fact that they see the bridge just went up.

We need some strong reinforcement of “don’t block the box” in all languages so everyone can comprehend. This is becoming more and more an issues in this intersection and downtown now that there is more traffic coming into the area.

Left turn signal needed at this intersection
  • Brickell Av@Se 8 St Miami, FL 33131, USA - Downtown
Crosswalk on North side of Brickell Ave and 8th street stops traffic for entire intersection heading in all directions! This crosswalk is new and severely impacting traffic in one of the busiest intersections in Miami.

I'm not sure why this is asking me for school details, I put the pin on an intersection not a school. Anyway...

This intersection should be turned into a roundabout. This way it will be safer from head on collisions and removing the temptation from people to make an illegal left turn (which they often do) from the Southwest direction (Coral Way) toward the North direction (SW 3rd Ave). It should also allow people from SW 15th Rd to get to either continue straight on the same road or go westbound on Coral Way (currently neither is not possible due to the shape and design of the weird 5 way intersection). An elongated roundabout should fix this. Not only would car safety improve but if built correctly traffic flow and pedestrian safety would as well, especially during rush hour Brickell traffic.

The elongated roundabout at 27th Ave and Tigertail in Coconut Grove is a good example of how this should sort of be designed.
