The signals on Newtown Road at Cleveland Street and Stoney Point South are not working properly. There are constant backlogs on Newtown Road in both directions most of the day, while the side streets have very few cars waiting.
The delayed greens on Newtown Road at Cleveland Street/Ethan Allen Lane are now always active and too long - this forces all Newtown Road traffic to wait even when no cars are turning.
Please adjust these traffic signals to allow the huge volumes on Newtown Road to get through.

Good morning,
We have a detection failure on the Stoney Point approach to Newtown. There was another problem causing other phases to call and extend unnecessarily that was corrected.
We have requested our traffic operation center to investigate a possible detection problem at the "Ethan Allen" signal.

I wanted to provide an update, your request remains active and is currently under review with the Department of Public Works. There is currently no time limit for completion.

Why is this taking so long to fix?
Does anyone care about all of the people needlessly waiting for the light to change?
How do we get these incompetent people fired?
