This is hardly a forum to deal with issues of murder and public safety. If you have specific information or specific concerns about protection in your neighborhood, might I suggest you take them up directly with the police department? Address your concerns directly to the Chief of Police or Lieutenant and if you do not receive a prompt or satisfactory response, go directly to your alderman for the first ward where the concern is located. I am sure they will share with you whatever they can regarding the investigation and increased patrols and if not, give you some sort of information that would give comfort to the neighbors about whatever increased activities they are performing there. Please understand that during an ongoing police investigation confidentiality is often critical to success. But please go directly to the source. Complaining on a third-party website that purports to "see, click and fix" issues seems a little naive or intended to stir controversy without an expectation of real results. This is a website to complain about potholes not murder. There may very well be a problem with police department operations or their activities in this situation. But if you expect to get results for your complaints you need to address them to the police department, not a public website that may or may not be monitored by the police.
Fulfill the direct role you are entitled to as a citizen. Don't just shoot drive-by comments that seem intended to provoke anger and not results.

These Zimmerman people and their gang of relatives and friends are involved in drugs, stolen guns and murder. They murdered people and also attempted to murder people. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord. You live by the gun, you die by the gun. Good for the Derby and Ansonia police. Lock them all up. That 53 year old, grow up. Get a job!

I hope today's actions by the Valley's PD's demonstrate to Minnie et al, that they don't need to whine on public fora to get action. Have faith, be less cynical.
