This is a report of two business operating in a residential area,(the only two businesses on the block). One is an car dealership & the other is a auto mechanic shop.

Are these businesses operating within Paterson's zoning laws or is this an active violation?

With these businesses operating it has had an devastating impact on parking for the residents that live in the area. I have witnessed Elderly residents with grandchildren have to walk over a block because the vehicles of these businesses occupy parking spots meant for residents.

The mechanic shop is also staining the street in front of the shop with lots of oil. Is this a violation. These action are bringing down the value of properties on the block as well as having a negative impact on the quality of life of all residents in the area.

Can this business operate in a residential area? Are they allowed to park on the street overtaking parking spaces? Is it allowed to stain the street with oil from vehicles they repair.

Please assist with this issue, it is having a negative impact on my quality of life as well as property value.
