This has still not been fixed. I feel that this could so easily be solved by having the bus come on down the Interurban in the morning and not going all the way to the corner in the afternoon before it stops. This does not change their route at all, it will just make sure the children are safer. The 6 children that boards the bus at this stop live within this first block of Interurban and very close together. I realize that the buses can't accommodate all the children, but this I feel is not unreasonable. The children are let out in the afternoon at the corner and have to walk down the side of the road where there is no sidewalk. The bus stops so close to the stop sign that there is barely room for them to cross in front of the bus without possible stepping out in front of traffic on Hovis Rd. that is not required to stop for the bus. My granddaughter, even though I am outside waiting on her, has already almost gotten hit by a truck.
Please help solve this problem, all of the parents are concerned about this bus stop.
