Hello Aubrey,
I received your report and photo of the steel bollards recently installed on a pedestrian pathway connecting Montecito Drive (adjacent to 36503 Montecito) to Rock Avenue resulting in obstruction of the pedestrian pathway. Based on a review of Tact Map 3450 this pathway is described as water easement and City of Fremont Easement. I have forwarded your e-mail to our Construction Division, Parks Division and Street Maintenance to inquire if they have information in the installation of these bollards. I will get back to you with my findings as soon as a determination of why and who installed the bollards and what actions the City Plan's to take thereafter.
Also, do you have an estimate of when these bollards were installed?
Sincerely,
Rene Dalton

Hello Aubrey,
Thanks for the reply. Our Street Maintenance Supervisor stated there was no recent work orders by our City crews to install those bollards. I am still waiting to hear back from our Construction, Permits and Parks Division. Have a good day.
Sincerely,
Rene Dalton

Did you ever hear back from the Construction, Permits, and Parks Division? The bollards are still there. People walk around them onto the private property of the house next door to get on the path, or can't get on the path at all if in a wheelchair or stroller.
